Holida-ay! Celebra-ate!

We’re going on what may be our last big vacation within New Zealand this week. We’re leaving today and we’ll be out of town for the next seven days. Yay!

We’ll be going to Tongariro National Park where Rob hopes to ski and I hope to do the Overland Track. Hopefully weather will cooperate and each of us will get our wish. I am currently knitting up some warm alpaca wool socks in anticipation. Tongariro is the home of many mountains, including Mount Ruapehu, which some of you may know better as Mount Doom.

After a few days in Tongariro we’ll take the train to Wellington for some big city life and culture. Perhaps we’ll see this famous landmark again. Cheers!

Rob Lam: World's Best Husband

Rob, thank you so much for giving me a wonderful second anniversary. I love you so much. The past two years have been the best, most exciting, fantastically happy, hard at times, heaps of fun, and wonderful two years of my life. Every day you make me smile. I am so proud of you and I admire you in so many ways. Thanks for being so much fun to be around. You are the best person I know and I am blessed to belong to you.
love,
Erica

Happy Two Year Anniversary!

To my lovely wife.

Our journey in life together began 2 years ago in the canyon by the creek in Colorado.

Now life has taken us Down Under and to a place by the sea and in the shadow of Mauou in New Zealand.

Where will our journey take us next? Maybe we will explore the wonders of the world together. I look forward to the journey because we go forward together.

I love you very much!

Fourth of July

Happy Fourth of July! This is my third one out of the US. Although not as memorable as my first one outside of America in Brazil, it was a good time. The weather was cold and rainy, but we gathered together with another American for some indoor bbq.

The above pic is not from NZ, it’s from Todd’s party last year. Have fun everyone!
