Keep your trunk up for good luck
We arrived in steamy Bankok in the monsoon season. Subject to frequent downpours and occasional flooding, the wet is a difficult time to travel Thailand. Fortunately, the rain held off for the most part of our time in Bangkok. A few highlights from our time in Thailand:
Shopping for just about everything with the good value of the good ‘ole green back Thailand.
The magnificent Grand Palace and Wats (budhist temples) in Bangkok. Simply amazing architecture and design. Like something out of a dream.
Thai hospitality from the friendly Thai people.
Enjoying delicious Thai food. Yummy curries, noodles and seafood.
Relaxing but intense Thai massage. Sort of like deep tissue with a mix of stretching.
Beautiful tropical Ko Samui island. A mixture of bright blue water and lush tropical foliage.
Riding elephants, water bufalo and watching trained monkeys pick coconuts from the trees. (An elephant statue with its trunk up means good luck)
Now is onto Dubai for some middle eastern culture. Around the world we go…

Rainforest to the Reef
We are back in OZ again to complete a few more essentials of our Down Under experience. We finally made it to tropical Cairns for some reef and rainforest. It feels good to be back in Australia with the friendly easy going Aussies.
A few highlights from this trip:
Friendly Australians. Its so nice to hear “no worries” again.
Aboriginal Culture. We had the opportunity to learn some more about the indengenous people here from dance, music, traditional medicine and natural use of plants.
Jungle Safari. The oldest rainforest in the world is also one of the most beautiful.
Looking for crocs on the daintree river
Australian Animals. We love the animals down under.
The Great Barrier Reef: Simply Amazing
So long Australia! You will be sorely missed.
