New stuff and some things unchanged...
There are new pics in the Visual section! That’s right, I finally updated my digital artwork, so there’s a bunch of cool stuff to check out. I hope to have some photography stuff up there soon.
I finally took the time to figure out how to let you turn all of the sound on and off, but since I didn’t design the site around it, it would be a MAJOR undertaking to implement it. Since I haven’t really gotten that many objections to constant music, then I think it’s all right for now… If you hate it, let me know.
I still haven’t updated all of my personal pics in the Occasional section — I want to put up the pictures from my brother’s wedding reception and my sister’s wedding, plus a couple of other things. It just requires me to sit down and scan and get them into Flash. Don’t hold your breath.

Mental note: Don't ever think that there's not enough time...
It has been 56 hours since the end of CyberSummer… Sound like a long time? Well, when you’re working by the hour (i.e., 15-20 hour days), 56 hours can seem like an awfully long time! Case-in-point: a team of 6, working 10 hours a day, for 3 days, in actuality, comes out to be 180 hours, right? Well, in 3 days, 9 teams, consisting of 4-6 high school students, put together some VERY impressive multimedia projects (everything from a music video, to short films, to websites).
(Mental note: don’t ever think that there’s not enough time.)
Speaking of which, half an hour after our big CyberSummer presentation show, I interviewed for a new teaching position at the College I teach at — mind you, not only was it half an hour after a big, stressful event, but also after two weeks of nearly sleepless work days!
I start on Tuesday. The class is “Intro to Multimedia,” and, in my youthful idealistic ways, I’m hoping to twist a few preconceived notions in their heads.
(Wait, did I mention I picked up an new freelance job yesterday — in between catching up on some much needed sleep?)
(Mental note: don’t ever think that there’s not enough time.)
The big river rafting trip is coming up too! There are a rumored 21 people going, so it should be fun — even if I don’t know most of them. We leave a couple of hours after I register for Fall classes at CalArts… School starts few hours after we all get back.
(Mental note: Don’t ever think that there’s not enough time.)

CyberSummer continues...
The second day of CyberSummer went well. We had a great Brainstorming session in the morning and, from what I hear, the other workshops went well. The afternoon Video Storytelling workshop was a nice surprise — a few of the students did some improvised acting that blew us all away. I can’t wait to see what else is to come!

CyberSummer2000!!!
CyberSummer started today (see the Longitudinal section for details)... As per the tradition, we all went on a field trip: Rhythm and Hues in the morning (been there, done that — a lame tour to say the least), lunch at the Santa Monica Pier, and then Santa Monica Studios in the afternoon (they RULE — made me want to send them a résumé!).
There are around 51 kids this year which is going to be very demanding, but still a lot of fun. I’m teaching the same classes this year as last (Flash and sound editing), but my favorite part is always the second week.
Time to get ready for some fun- (stress-) filled 15-hour days! Yeah!
