The Nokia N800: My thoughts...
It’s been almost two weeks since my Nokia N800 Internet Tablet arrived. So far, I have really enjoyed having it (and, being that enjoying it means that my nose is always pointed towards it, my wife…? Not so much).
Anyway, my thoughts persist henceforth…

Does this video remind anyone else of the church?
A question posed by Jordon Cooper here.
My answer: Yes.

Give Me Some Food...
I recently finished a new website design for Kristen Lo, San Francisco-based food blogger over at givemesomefood.com. The site was a lot of fun to design for several reasons (designing for TypePad, using jQuery for the first time, using design elements and colors I’ve never used before, trying to stay valid for the most part, among other things).
But, I learned a big lesson during this particular freelance job: family men don’t have as much time as single men…

My "fight" with Viacom & YouTube...
Well, maybe not YouTube, but…
If you’ve been listening to the news at all lately, you’ll have heard about Viacom‘s lawsuit against YouTube.com (read the Wired article here.) Likewise, if you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you’ll know that I sort of felt it personally (and vented about it here.)

PDA Hunt: My iPhone Killer has arrived...
Yes, folks, a shiny new Nokia N800 is firmly planted in my grubby little hands.
Jealous!
See a photo of it here.

I’ve been tagged: The Perfect Song
Zach Lind has tagged me to come up with a list of perfect songs for five specific genres. Here are the rules as laid out by the originator, Mark Oestreicher:
- scan through your itunes or cd library. refamiliarize yourself with the nooks and crannies of your musical options.
- identify five categories — genres, if you will — of music. these should be as obscure and finely-articulated as you’d like. feel free to use modifiers liberally.
- nominate — select, really — a “perfect song” for each category. include a link for each song to something (the amazon page for the CD, or the artist’s website, or whatever). you may find it easier, as i did, to find “perfect songs”, and craft categories or genres around them.
- ideally, some of the songs will be nominally obscure, or, at least, not completely mainstream and overplayed. no need to tell us all about songs we all know!

If ever there was a time to have cable...
A severe storm/thunderstorm/tornado warning ripped through our local television channels last night (if maybe only a little through our fair city). Accordingly, our local ABC News team was so rude as to report on it during LOST‘s entire time-slot (all the while telling us not to worry because we could catch the episode on ABC.com).
Arg.
