The Dave Matthews Band... Yeah, they're pretty all right.
I went and saw the Dave Matthews Band last night with my friend, Jean. It took us three hours to drive the one-and-a-half hour drive because of (1) a fire, and (2)... When’s the last time you ever drove in concert traffic anyway?!!! What a treat that was — two miles an hour, baby!
So anyway… Yeah, they’re pretty all right.

Denied...
I have an angry crease between my eyes. Why are people so finicky? The road trip for this weekend was canceled… Due to… “Wussiness.” I guess so is my documentary. For now. The trip will be rescheduled for sometime at the end of August. I didn’t want to think about it for that long and I had worked myself up into a ferver of excitement. I’ll try not to think about it and I’ll try to come down. I guess I have more time to work on my music now.

Slacking, cable, road trips, music...
I’ve started to slack on updating this section, as I knew I would. I’ve got a bunch of new pictures to put up and… Last Monday, I got a cable modem, which I would have thought was significant enough to write something about… Guess not. It’s fast. Another thing I haven’t mentioned is a road trip I’m going on this weekend. Two days into the desert with about 10 people. I’d tell you all about it, but, the fact is, I’ll be filming a documentary about it — you’ll just have to wait! I finally found my muse, as it were, for the new CD I planned to write this summer… I just finished the 4th song and my main goal at this point is to not burn out. I’ll keep you updated… Or will I?...

The 1/4 of July!
Tonight, my family (Grandma, Mom, Dad, Luke, Sarah, Amie), my brother’s friend Arthur, and I went out to see the fireworks. We had never gone to this particular place in our city before, but it seemed like it would probably be a good place — in fact, none of the other people that had stopped there had ever been there either and they thought it’d be a pretty good spot too: high on a hill overlooking our valley. There was one problem, though… One we hadn’t forseen until we got there… Another hill blocked almost all of our view of the actual fireworks — sometimes some sparks would peek over the hill, but mostly, we got a grand show of colored sky. Everyone on the hill made the best of it, though, and we all cheered every time the sky changed colors. We knew that someone, somehwere was getting a good show.
