Three-year cycle...

It took me all of three years to complete, but I finally did. Over 2600 pages later, I’m finally able to put down Neal Stephenson‘s The Baroque Cycle.

My trip to Florida...

I didn’t mention that I had never been in Florida before. And, while I’ve been there now, I really wasn’t. One day in any location is not enough to see anything. In fact, the only ocean/coastline I saw was from the plane.

Update on that homicide case I was a witness in...

It ended in a hung jury. The judge declared it a mistrial. Man. I hope I don’t get called back.

Redemption through our children...

A couple of mornings ago, as I sleepily held my sleepy son in my arms, feeding him formula, I had a glimpse of why God sent His son to redeem the world. For a brief moment, I had a profound feeling of…fatherhood. It was a feeling I don’t think I felt prior to that second on that early morning.
