YES YES YES...
Retro weekend continues as I just got back from seeing Yes at the Glen Helen Pavillion just outside of Rancho Cucamunga. I went with my friend Scott. All I can say is that we got our very delighted hearts’-fill of progrock goodness. They were awe-inspiring! (An experimental orchestration of masterpieces!)
Kansas (?!) opened for them and well, they were all right. The drummer played so off-time it was kind of embarrassing.
It was an “old people’s show” (we were out of the parking lot before midnight). All in all, is was a great night.
Oh! I found out why Berlin was sounding so Industrial—well, at least one song, anyway. It was written by Steven Siebold of Hate Dept. fame! Too weird.
