Informatio: Humor
Laughing at translation...
As I’ve mentioned before, my brother and his family are working in linguistics in Southeast Asia. Recently, my brother told me about this quote, printed on the back of a chocolate wafer wrapper:
“Our chocolate recipe comes first and foremost from the personal taste and know how of the master of chocolate makers. It offers you an unbelievable selection, tastier than any other. The finest quality chocolate creates a unique premium taste and a symbol of love for every taste and moment.”Priceless… Not only would I love to meet the “master of chocolate makers,” but, I would give anything to taste something (anything!) that “creates a unique premium taste and a symbol of love for every taste and moment.” That must be yummy.

Symbol of love…that’s perfect! I have always thought of chocolate that way. :)

Funny… I’ve got a bottle of bourbon whose label reads almost exactly like that.

I read your blog sometimes, but this post is the one that finally inspired me to comment!! Funny how things grab your attention. No really, I do like the other things you post too. But this label is just hilarious in its overblown tooting of its own horn! I’m in the midst of writing a brochure for my business, and I have this urge to write myself up in terms like that, just to see what peoples’ reaction is. But I won’t. But it would be fun!
