Project 365: A Retrospective

As I mentioned on January 1, 2005:

I do have one entry to post this month, though: a retrospective collage of my part in grid::blog | Project 365... I don’t know when I will complete it, but it will show up sometime in January.
To tell you the truth, I even hesitate to post at all this month, but since I said I would, here it is…
Project 365: A Retrospective

I’ve placed the photographs from left to right in a 20 × 20 grid (the top-left photo being January 1, 2004)... It’s kind of neat to find the inter-relational similarities between each neighboring photograph — even though I didn’t set out with that intention. What’s even more interesting than the juxtapositions between the horizontal photographs are the apparent associations between each vertically adjoining photograph (either in color, composition, or both) — and they were taken 20 days apart. (You can come up with your own theories about how the psyche works when it comes to long-term creative projects.)

If you’d like to order up to a 20” x 30” print of this piece, go here.

If you’d like to see each individual photograph on its own, go here.

See you in February!

Wow, I could look at that thing for hours. And I’ve already looked at all the individual photos too. But when you put them all together like that it just looks so…amazing.

Very, very cool Tim. What an excellent idea and I agree with Jill. You should do this every year.

Maybe in another year! ;-)

(But, photos will continue — a bit less regularly — always.)

I know this has already been said, but it’s my honest response – Very, very cool, Tim!

I’m honored (?) to have the biggest nose in the whole shebang…

Tim, this is awesome. I can’t wait to get the poster and get it up in the basement.

Todd ~ LOL! You know I wouldn’t have ever posted the ol’ the schnoz if I didn’t love it. :-D

And, thanks again everyone else!

I just got my poster and I LOVE it. However, I do want to warn anyone else who might be ordering one…make sure your turn off the Zoom and Trim option at Ofoto before ordering. You’ll get much better results.

Todd () - January 25, 2005 at 5:34 pm

Todd ~ The poster was awesome (I wish I didn’t leave it at Jami’s last night)... I just ordered one for myself!

timsamoff () (URL) - January 27, 2005 at 10:11 am

Believe it or not, I am actually anticipating your return.

You are much too kind, Matt!
