Never thought this would happen!
Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq: ADBE) has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Macromedia (Nasdaq: MACR) in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $3.4 billion.Read the rest here.
We may be witnessing a new Microsoft emerge — and that’s not a good thing.

this can be nothing but good IMO: proliferation of real software (CS) and finally having some oversight of Macromedia’s scattered product line, plus a final death to Freehand!! wooohooo

Hey, Paul… Yeah, I agree with you on ever point. BUT, I hate thinking that all of my eggs are now going to be in one basket. I’m hoping that a little independent thinking remains in tact.
