A "new Century," homicide, et cetera...

I failed to mention that we got the Buick back on Saturday night. Thankfully, a friend of my mother-in-law’s was able to get it fixed for much less than I was original quoted. (We’re talking a nearly $800 savings here folks, so don’t forget to shop around if you ever need something major done on your car!)

Today is the day that I hit the witness stand in a two-year old homicide case. I’m hoping that it goes quickly and I don’t have to sit around in the courthouse for too long. I have half the mind to take the stand, point at the guy and yell, “He’s guilt!” But, that would just be mean, now, wouldn’t it? (I am joking by the way.)

This is a pretty exciting week for me at work. I haven’t mentioned it here before, but for the last eight months or so, I’ve been working on a pretty major art installation for a breezeway in the building I work in. This week — finally — construction began. I’m working on capturing the project in photos, which will be much easier to explain than just trying to write about it. What I will say is that it is costing somewhere around thirty…thousand…dollars. (Say what?! You heard me.)

I’ve got a bunch of other cool projects going on here as well. I’m designing this year’s company’s holiday greeting card (which is proving to be more difficult that I thought it would be). I’m also designing the user interface for some software that we’re developing (something like a corporate version of iTunes). Fun times.

Anyway, all of this fun has, again, forced me to neglect finishing my review of “.” I do apologize and will try to get to it soon.

Sounds like you’re a busy, busy man Tim. But at least it’s not busy work…
