Give Me Some Food...

I recently finished a new website design for Kristen Lo, San Francisco-based food blogger over at . The site was a lot of fun to design for several reasons (designing for , using for the first time, using design elements and colors I’ve never used before, trying to stay valid for the most part, among other things).

But, I learned a big lesson during this particular freelance job: family men don’t have as much time as single men…

Give Me Some FoodWhat ended up taking me around three months to complete would have taken me a week when I was single. I was fairly up front about my time issues, but I ended up going a month over schedule.

Honestly, it was a hard lesson to learn.

So, while this job won’t be the last I ever take on, I will definitely think about how much time I have and how much time the client is willing to spend waiting for me before agreeing to doing something like it again.

Anyway, take a look at the final product. I think it turned out pretty slick, and I’m glad that Kristen likes it.

I’d like to thank (of fame) for helping me solve a silly little bug that evaded me for a couple of weeks!
