What I do for work...

A few of you know what my actual “paying” job entails… Many of you, I’m sure, don’t. This being the case, I thought I’d post of photo of what I did last Friday…

Aerial Lift TimThis is me in an aerial lift bucket (otherwise know as a cherry picker). These buckets are used to transport technicians to and from highly-located job sites (e.g., power lines, telephone relays, etc).

On Friday, I was filming some footage for an aerial lift safety video that I’m putting together for another department here at work. It’s not always the most exciting subject matter (yeah, I know that more than anyone), but sometimes I get to do some fairly exciting things.

I had a lot of fun on Friday. Sometimes, I get to feel like a real-live (i.e., paid) filmmaker.

Special thanks to renowned photographer, , for taking some photos of me! I am going to start replacing those profile pics of me that are all over the web with this one (it’s about time too).

Dude, I doubt there’s anyone who reads you who hasn’t wanted to go up in one of those cherry-pickers. (And you didn’t even have to steal the truck as a fraternity prank.) Today, in cubicles, retail shops and boardrooms everywhere, we’re all living vicariously through you.

Ha ha! Well, I’m glad to oblige… And, just so you know, the full-body harness isn’t half bad either — it was so comfortable, that I wore it around most of the day (the guys I was working with wouldn’t let me wear it to lunch, though).
