And the winner is...

A few days ago, I mentioned how blessed we are by friends who take it upon themselves to bring us food. It is such a huge help for us right now and we can’t come up with enough words of gratitude for them. Our friends are an incredible portrait of God’s love for our family.

We have been fortunate enough to have all sorts of good food delivered, including some great desserts. I thought I’d take a minute, though, to spotlight one of the most rich, decadent…fattening desserts that we have ever eaten.

Jill's Chocolaty GoopThe creator is our friend Jill. She said this is an old family favorite. Well, it’s one of ours now too.

The conglomeration you see here is a mixture of bars, chocolate brownies, and cool whip. Once everything is mixed together, it is set in the refrigerator for everything to congeal into a solid mass of chocolaty goop.

This is the kind of dessert that will make you sick every time you eat it — but, the next day you wonder when you get to have some more. Also, if you can’t tell, Jill made enough for about fifty people. Still, the three of us who partook did a pretty good job on it over the course of about five days.

We still have one or two more meals coming to us, of which we’re extremely thankful. But, I’m not sure if any of them will come with a dessert as deadly as this one.

Jill, you really outdid yourself this time!
