A gift (in photo)...

A friend of mine (and great photographer), , is much too kind. He has been keeping me company, through comments on my Flickr page, during my recovery from hip surgery.

The road less travelledSomewhere along the way, fireshift offered to take a photo of anything I wanted as a gift to help me feel better. Can you believe it?

The photo you see here is that gift. (Click on it to go to the Flickr page.)

I had asked for something that made me feel like I was outdoors, enjoying the fall weather… But, I was so demanding as to ask for him not to include any typical, cliché fall elements (e.g., orange leaves, etc.). I think he really came through, and I think this sort of gift is an amazing attribute not only to the kind of person that fireshift is, but of the community that is the internet.

So, thank you, fireshift. I am indebted.
