Not To Be Assuming...
Once again, busyness has gotten in the way of some good blogging time — and even writing people emails that I said I’d write. I apologize.
Anyway, I’ve been in the process of preparing a bunch of my music to upload to ReverbNation (and a few other places like Facebook) This is all in response to a blog post I wrote a while back (yeah, it’s taken me that long to get around to it). During the chore of dusting off the old songs and trying to convert them to decent sounding mp3s, I came across a song called “Not To Be Assuming.” It’s a song that I recorded after I had completed my “Sitting In the Middle of an Empty Room” album for my Tim & His Guitar project. I don’t actually remember when I wrote the song — sometime after 1997, I think. The recording date looks like it’s December 14, 2001 — which means I recorded it shortly after moving to Kansas City. Needless to say, I thought it was good enough to post here (honestly, I think it’s pretty heartbreaking, but I’ll let you be the judge for yourself). This is the — ahem — world premiere!
