Happy patent to me?
Ok, so… It’s my birthday today. I’m 36-years old — on the downhill towards 40. (Fun times?)
I realized the other day that there is something I never mentioned here on my blog (and maybe not even to my parents). It’s a really huge thing too and I don’t know why I never brought it up. Last year (while 35-years old), I filed for my first patent! Seriously. Myself, along with four others that I work with put together an idea that will now and forevermore be known as:
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REDUCING EMPLOYEE TRAINING TIME
AND DISTRIBUTING CORPORATE AND JOB INFORMATION
TO EMPLOYEES
Cool, no?
So, what is it? Well, it would take too much time to explain here. But, it is basically a new paradigm for creating and delivering XML feeds — not much new technologically, but very new considering the systems and methods for utilizing it. Think of it as a highly-administrated form of niche-blogging and targeted RSS generation for specific company employees. (I know, I sound really smart right now — please, send me your adoration.)
All kidding aside, I am pretty proud. And, to commemorate the moment, here is a photo of me being presented with a certificate from my company CEO.
